The Puerto Alcudia beach has luxurious white sand and the waves on this beach are usually very gentle. This stretch of beach is also known as Playa Deportivo, which means sport beach. This is beach is a good area for windsurfers. This beach also has a long stretch of beach bars and lifeguard stations.

The Playa de Muro beach is an extension of the fantastic Puerto Alcudia beach.

The Alcanada beach is a collection of three smaller beaches. One of these beaches is lovely and sandy and this beach is called Cala Poncet, the water on this beach is crystal clear although it is actually quite shallow. This beach has a good range of facilities such as sun loungers and parasols, which can be hired, for use on the beach. This area has a couple of good bars and supermarkets where refreshments can be purchased.

The Coll Baix beach is one of the many unspoilt beaches and is situated to the east of Alcudia. This beach is not very accessible and it requires either a trek or a cycle ride to get to it. The water at this beach can become deep fairly quickly. This beach is about two hundred and fifty meters long and is consists of a collection of sand and pebbles.

There is also a good theme park that is located near Alcudia on the north side of Mallorca. This amusement park will keep you occupied for a while and it provides a fantastic day out for the whole family. Some of the other great attractions within this area include zoo, go karting and mini golf.

The Mallorca Aquarium, which is located in Porto Cristo, is a huge aquarium covering two thousand square meters over two floors. The Alcudia nightlight is fairly lively and there is a wide range of different entertainments so there is something to suit all ages and all tastes. The entertainment ranges from karaoke bars to love bands and also includes sports bars and cabaret. The island has family entertainment up until about midnight and then it all changes and then it caters more for people who are geared up for partying.

The most popular clubs in Alcudia are Menta and Bells, the largest club is Menta and it even has its own swimming pool. The Menta club also has a choice of seven different bars with two disk jockeys and a reasonable sized dance floor. The Menta club can be very expensive to get into so it is a good idea to look for the free passes that are available and this club holds a foam party on a Thursday night. At the Menta club there is a combination of disco and Spanish music. The Menta club is located in the Puerto de Alcudia area of the island.

The Bells nightclub is very popular at the weekend and this club has much more of a Spanish feel to it. If you enjoy foam parties then this is the club to be at on a Monday night.

In Alcudia the weather is sunny and hot most of the time.
