Puerto Alcudia Beach

There are a few beaches within the resort of Alcudia and the main beach is the Puerto Alcudia beach. This beach is amongst the finest beach on the island of Alcudia. This beach is one of the longest and also one of the finest beaches. This beach stretches for between nine and ten kilometres. The beach reaches from the marina in Puerto Alcudia to the Playa de Muro and Ca’n Picafort. It is possible to walk along the beach all the way to Ca’n Picafort. There is only one point where you will need to make a detour and that is at Playa de Muro where you have to use a road bridge to cross the canal.

This beach has clear golden white sand. The sea is very shallow along the whole stretch. There is always a welcomed breeze along the beach. The waves on this beach are normally very gentle especially close to the port. However in some of the more exposed areas especially in and around Playa de Muro. The sea can very often be calm which shows the beach in its wonderful turquoise combinations.
The part of the beach nearest to the marina is very often referred to as Xara beach. Behind the beach you are able to walk along the pavement. The pavement goes as far as Ciudad Blanca and this is very often referred to as the Bellevue area.

There is part of this beach area that is very common for beach sports such as windsurfing.

There are a few wonderful water parks located in the region of Alcudia. Some of the best water parks are located to north of the island and there are some other ones that located in the south of the island. These water parks are great for anyone who enjoys theme parks. These water parks are great for the young and the old alike. Some of these water parks even feature a miniature zoo and a combination of other entertainment.

One of the main water parks of Alcudia is the Hidropark. The hidropark has a wide range of features on offer to the visitors. The hidropark has a wide range of features including slides, chutes and pools, which can be used by people of all ages. This park also has a full-sized fifty-four holed golf course. The golf course can be accessed from both inside the park and outside the park. This water park also has a range of bars and restaurants, which are open throughout the day.

The Hidro Park is open during the summer months usually between May and October. The park opens at half past ten in the morning and it is open until six o’clock in the evening. For people aged twelve years and older it costs fifteen euros to get in. Children aged between five and eleven years old can gain access to the park for eight euros and children younger than five are able to get in for free. This park is a fantastic way to spend a day out.

The Canny Lad serves great food that includes Sunday lunches in the form of roasts, chips and gravy and full English breakfasts. This bar is a fantastic place for the young and old alike and it has a family atmosphere.

The Canny Lad offers a wide range of entertainment that includes satellite television. On most evening this bar shows adult comedy videos. This bar is the only place that you are able to purchase Newcastle Brown Ale and the cocktail that is known as a beach screw cocktail. Some of the other entertainment within this bar includes karaoke, bingo and various different competitions. This is also one of the best places to enjoy football so there is no need to miss that football matches anymore whilst you are on holiday.

The Canny Lad is able to give you everything that you expect from a Toon Bar. The Canny Lad offers a wide range of drinks and well-known brands of snacks. The walls of the Canny Lad are covered in pictures of Newcastle and other memorabilia. The possession that the bar is proud to have is a signed picture of Alan Shearer. The Mollorca Aquarium is located within in the region of Porto Cristo. The Aquarium is spread over two floors and it covers an area of two thousand square meters. This aquarium features a wide range of species and there are over one hundred and fifteen displays. Some of the fish that they have are from the coral reefs in Australia and some of the miniature fish are from the rivers in Brazil. Some of these displays even feature piranhas. These displays feature a wide range of different fauna and flora some of which are from the Mediterranean Sea.

This aquarium provides the idea day out for all the family. There is something at this aquarium to please the young and old alike.

The aquarium is open all year round and it opens at half past ten in the morning and closes at half past six in the evening. This aquarium only charges visitors a small amount to get into the display. For children eight years and older it costs five euros. Children aged between fours years of age and eight years of age only need to pay an admission fee of two and a half euros. The children under four years of age are able to get into the aquarium for free.

The Mallorca Aquarium provides an excellent day out for people of all ages and there is a wide range of displays, which will excite the young and old alike. This aquarium is the ideal thing to do on a wet day.

Beaches in Alcudia

There are a few beaches to choose from in and around Alcudia. The Puerto Alcudia beach is the main beach of Alcudia and this is also one of the longest beaches on the island. All of the beaches on Alcudia are very good and they are regularly graded for blue flag status.

The Puerto Alcudia beach has luxurious white sand and the waves on this beach are usually very gentle. This stretch of beach is also known as Playa Deportivo, which means sport beach. This is beach is a good area for windsurfers. This beach also has a long stretch of beach bars and lifeguard stations.

The Playa de Muro beach is an extension of the fantastic Puerto Alcudia beach.

The Alcanada beach is a collection of three smaller beaches. One of these beaches is lovely and sandy and this beach is called Cala Poncet, the water on this beach is crystal clear although it is actually quite shallow. This beach has a good range of facilities such as sun loungers and parasols, which can be hired, for use on the beach. This area has a couple of good bars and supermarkets where refreshments can be purchased.

The Coll Baix beach is one of the many unspoilt beaches and is situated to the east of Alcudia. This beach is not very accessible and it requires either a trek or a cycle ride to get to it. The water at this beach can become deep fairly quickly. This beach is about two hundred and fifty meters long and is consists of a collection of sand and pebbles.
